Chef Anthony and his students prepare homemade marshmallows
Chef Anthony Fischer dropped by the KOAM studio to prepare some homemade marshmallows. It’s always a treat when the chef is in the house but today he brought some specialists with him — a couple of his Pittsburg High School culinary students. They prepared two super easy and super fun homemade marshmallow recipes that you and your family will want to try at home. Here’s all you need to know:
- One cup of water, divided
- 2 envelopes (21 grams) of unflavored gelatin
- 2 cups caster sugar
- 1 half cup light corn syrup or glucose syrup
- 1 half teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons pure vanilla extract
- About two cups icing sugar to coat marshmallows
Another great thing about this recipe is it’s egg-free, gluten-free and vegan friendly!
