Charges are filed against 2 suspects in 4 arson fires in Liberal
LIBERAL, Mo. — The Barton County Prosecutor files charges against two people in connection to four arson fires in Liberal, Missouri.
The Sheriff’s Office says Zachary D. Workman, 18, and Thomas J. Ingram, 25, of Liberal face four counts of 2nd degree arson.
The fires happened on June 25th, July 3rd, July 4th and July 10th, 2019. The Liberal Police Department, Barton County Sheriff’s Office and the Missouri State fire Marshall all investigated the fires. Three structures were vacant. One of the structures was being remodeled so there was still property inside.
Authorities issued a court summons for the two suspects to appear on the charges. Workman and Ingram are schedule to be in court on September 19th at the Barton County Courthouse.
Workman is currently in the Vernon County Jail on unrelated charges.
