Carterville, MO – In November of 2013 the Carterville Volunteer Fire Department requested an updated evaluation rating from the Insurance Services Office (ISO). ISO rating are used to determine insurance rates within an area. Our deparment’s ALL VOLUNTEER staff made this request after countless hours of preparations. “Our goal was to improve our ISO rating, the main benefit will enable all homeowners and businesses within our fire district to lower their insurance rates. We’ve learned a lot during this process and plan on continuing to improve and prepare for our next evaluation,” said Fire Chief Tom Hill.

With the help of the great people at the City of Carterville, the Webb City Fire Department and the JASCO 911 Center, we are happy to announce that the fire dept. received a rating of a 6 inside the city, and a 7 in the rural parts of the district.
