Carterville honors 4-State heroes

Veterans were honored at the cemetery in Caterville Missouri Saturday by getting wreaths placed on their graves.

It was all part of the Itus Virtus Wreaths for Fallen Heroes event put on by a motorcycle organization made up of veterans, police officers, and others.

The event was meant to show that many missourians keep thinking about their 4-State heroes, even during the hustle and bustle of the holiday season.

“I really respect the veterans that have paid the price for this country so that we can enjoy the life that we live today,” said Carterville Mayor Alan Griffin.

Every veteran grave in the Carterville Cemetery was able to receive a wreath during the event.
