Carol Ester Elliott, age 86, of Marionville, Missouri, passed away at 5:40 a.m. on Sunday, March 15, 2020, at her home. She was born December 24, 1933, in McKinley, Missouri, the daughter of Arthur Allen and Isla Fernne (Krotcher) Dawdy.

Carol was the owner and operator of the Dairy Twist in Aurora, Missouri, in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s. She worked for Kutzner-Elliott Trucking Company in Marionville, the Ozarks Methodist Manor and the Aurora School District.

On January 17, 1950, she married Charles Elliott in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

Carol is survived by her husband of 70 years, Charles; two sons, Wayne Elliott and his wife, Mary, of Aurora and Chris Elliott of Marionville; three daughters, Anita McFee and her husband, James, of Marionville, Jean Mooneyham of Aurora and Dana Kutzner and her husband, Kelly, of Marionville; two sisters, Nina Cross and her husband, David, of Aurora and Helen Weeks and her husband, Charles, of Bella Vista, Arkansas; 21 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Isla, three brothers, Marion, Junior and Leigh Dawdy and four sisters, Ione Patten, Marclar Countryman, Mary Ann Hickman and Leota Faye Seward and one grandson, Jeremy Wayne Mooneyham.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2020, at the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora. Burial will follow at the Mt. Olive Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made payable to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Operation Smile, in care of the funeral home.
