Burglary Suspect Arrested After Southeast Kansas Pursuit

CRAWFORD COUNTY, Kan. – A reported burglary leads to a police chase in southeast Kansas.

This morning, November 9, 2021, authorities responded to a reported burglary in progress in McCune. A Crawford County Sheriff’s deputy responded and saw the suspect’s vehicle. A chase began.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, someone reported the vehicle stolen from Frontenac.

After about 30 minutes, the chase ended south of US 400 Highway in Cherokee County. It was at 70th and NW Coal Valley Road.

Authorities identified the suspect as a 29-year-old Saint Paul resident and arrested him.

The Kansas Highway Patrol and Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the pursuit.

Court records to not show any official charges at this time.
