Bowlers from around the area brought their A-game to Carl Richard’s Fourth Street Bowl in Joplin today.

This was the fourth of seven tournaments lined up for the season leading up to the championship happening this summer.

45 teams competed in this tournament, all trying to win the top prize of $1,500.

The JOMO Bowler’s Tour began last season with the intent of bringing competitive bowling back into the Joplin area, something officials are happy to see happening.

“It’s all about just getting, you know, a group of bowlers back, back into the area. And getting them together with some prize money on the line, just something to give back to the bowling community that, you know, we were a part of for a long time as well,” said Tyler Meyer, Tournament Director.

At the end of the season, the top 16 bowlers will compete against each other for the player’s championship.
