Beshore to take over as Lamar head football coach
Jared Beshore is a former Tiger who finished his playing career with Missouri State in 2018.
Lamar High School has hired Jared Beshore to be its next head football coach.
Beshore is a former Tiger, and just finished his playing career with Missouri State in 2018. He was an assistant coach for Branson last season.
“It was exciting,” Beshore says of learning he got the job, “I mean not very many people get the chance to go back and be the head coach at their alma-mater. Especially one as prestigious as the Lamar program is now, due to coach Bailey’s successes and what he’s done there. I was just thrilled and tickled to death that I get that opportunity.”
Beshore follows Scott Bailey as the head coach of the Tigers program.
Bailey was there for 14 seasons, winning 151 games and 7 consecutive state championships from 2011-to-2017.
Bailey actually coached Beshore his entire high school career.
“Coach Bailey was always there to be that kind of second father figure,” Beshore says of Bailey, “He showed me the ropes, he’s helped me through this process. He pushed me as a player, he’s pushing me as a coach, showing me the ins and outs. I just have a lot of respect and a lot of appreciation for what he’s done for me. Not just as a player, but as a coach and a person too.”
Beshore has a busy summer planned. He is hoping to join the team for summer camp in July. After that, he will turn around get married in August.
