BARTON COUNTY, Mo. – Voters decide to make the Barton County prosecuting attorney position full-time.

The April 6, 2021 ballot read, “Shall the office of prosecuting attorney be made a full-time position in Barton County?” Residents voted yes and the issue passed.

The current Barton County prosecuting attorney, Mike Smalley, posted to social media about the win, saying, “We did it Barton County! This office will become full time January 1, 2023. Thank you everyone for your support.”
