Bacon-wrapped bratwurst recipe

4 Sunshine Farms bratwurst
24 oz. beer
5 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper or chili powder
6 slices Ossabow or other bacon, cut in half
Poke bratwurst with fork, and place into a saucepan with beer. Bring it to a boil, then simmer for 15 minutes. Remove bratwurst.
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and top with a wire rack.
Combine brown sugar and pepper/chili powder. Cut each sausage into three pieces, and wrap each piece with a half-strip of the bacon. Secure bacon to bratwurst with a toothpick. Toss with the brown sugar mixture to coat, and place on baking sheet. Bake for 25 to 35 minutes, until bacon is brown and crisp.
