Authorities remove suspicious device from downtown Cherryvale, Kansas

CHERRYVALE, Ks. — Cherryvale Police responded at 10:15 A.M. on February 18 to a report of an unexploded device in the downtown area. They evacuated a 2 block area, which included businesses and homes, as a precaution. Kansas Highway Patrol and a bomb unit were called in and the device was safely removed at 2:10 P.M. the same day. Afterwards, authorities said the scene was all clear.
