Authorities identify body found as Mark Rogers of Miami
On January 18th, 2019, the Mayes County Sheriff’s Office was notified that the human remains found west of Langley on Wednesday have been positivley identified as Mark Rogers of Miami, Okla.
Authorities say a missing persons report was filed for Mark Rogers, 61 of Miami, Oklahoma, who was last seen on December 26th, 2018. Authorities say Rogers’ father had dropped him off in Langley.
Crews searched for Rogers in Miami and Ottawa County. They also followed possible connections to a friend in Texas.
Around January 8th, the Grand River Dam Authority assisted in the search by sending two boats to comb Grand Lake and Grand River, but Rogers was not found.
On January 16th, a body was found by hunters around 4:30 p.m. Deputy Howell confirmed to KOAM and FOX14 that pieces of clothing and other items found with the body appeared to be items belonging to Mark Rogers.
