Joplin Health Department reports seventh death resulting from COVID-19

The Joplin Health Department is sad to report the death of a Joplin resident. Coronavirus was a significant condition contributing to this death. The individual was a 81 year old male who was a resident of Spring River Christian Village, a long-term care facility in Joplin. This announcement brings the total count to seven deaths.

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) has rescinded a boil water advisory for the City of Cherokee, located in Crawford County. The advisory was issued because of a loss of pressure in the system due to maintenance. Failure to maintain adequate pressure may result in a loss of chlorine residuals and bacterial contamination.
