Val Frankoski, Missouri Master Naturalists, will speak at the Sperry-Galligar Audubon meeting, Thursday, September 27, 2018, 7:00 P.M., Room 102, PSU’s Yates Hall, 1702 S. Joplin St., Pittsburg, KS. She will detail how the iconic monarch butterfly, known and appreciated by nearly every child and adult in the US, has declined more than 80% in the past 20 years. Frankoski will present a practical detailed discussion on how interest in their recovery has surged and how average citizens are able to make an impact on their future. Free and open to the public.
