Arma man drowns in Missouri boating accident

ST. CLAIRE COUNTY, Mo. – An Arma, Kansas man drowns after a boating accident in western Missouri.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol report states that it happened on October 24, 2020, on the Osage River, about a mile west of the Taberville Access.

Four people were in the boat when it hit a submerged object. The boat started flooding and overturned, ejecting the occupants.

Chad Boswell, a 46-year-old occupant, drowned, according to authorities.

The driver, a 63-year-old from Nevada, Mo., suffered serious injuries. EMS took him to the Nevada Regional Medical Center.

Two other occupants, a 5-year-old and 18-year-old, suffered minor injuries.
