Habitat for Humanity home being built in October of 2016 in Pittsburg, Kansas

Habitat for Humanity of Crawford County, Kansas is accepting applications for home ownership until February 28th, 2019.

Families and individuals in need of a decent, affordable house can apply by calling 620-232-3588 (leave your name, number and mailing address) or emailing hfhcrawford2@gmail.com.

Each local Habitat’s family selection committee selects homeowners based on three criteria:

The applicant’s level of need.
Their willingness to partner with Habitat.
Their ability to repay a mortgage through an affordable payment plan.

As part of their willingness to partner, Habitat’s homebuyers invest hundreds of hours of their own labor, called sweat equity, working alongside volunteers and other Habitat homeowners.

You can learn more on the Habitat for Humanity website or on their Facebook page.
