Apple Crisp Recipe

APPLE CRUMBLE

Filling:
6 cups cored and sliced apples (peel if desired)
1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/3 cup Hudson Cream flour

Topping:
2/3 cup Hudson Cream flour
2/3 cup oats
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup sugar
1 tsp salt
2 tsp cinnamon
1 stick (8 tablespoons) butter

Preheat oven to 350. Combine all filling ingredients in a large bowl and toss until apples are well coated with the mixture. Set aside.

In another large bowl, whisk together all ingredients except for the butter. Cut the butter into small pieces, and cut into the topping mixture with a pastry knife or two butter knives until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Place apple mixture into a greased 9″ x 9″ baking dish, and sprinkle the topping evenly over the apples. Place into preheated oven for 40-45 minutes or until topping is browned and caramelized. Serve warm, with ice cream if desired.
