Anonymous donation provides hope to those in need in Pittsburg

Santa came early for some Pittsburg residents in need.

The Lord’s Diner received an anonymous donation allowing them to hand out $20 to more than 100 of their guests. The special gifts were handed out by none other than Santa and Mrs. Claus as folks grabbed their dinner and moved through the line.

One person, took his gift, and paid it forward. William arnold says “Greed can get in everyone’s way…greed, it’s part of fear in life and I think sometimes people aught to think outside the box, truly.” Laura Ramsey, Site Director said of the gift “It’s a great gift, it’s very heartfelt and very meaningful, it might buy a toy for their child that they couldn’t afford before, or just a meal.”

Ramsey says they’re always looking for volunteers. If you’d like to help out you can just stop by their location at 406 North Locust in Pittsburg.
