Anime illustrations a draw for young adults

At Spiva Center for the Arts young adults are receiving lessons on Japanese illustrations.
Missouri Southern State University art major Amber Baker is teaching the class.
Students are able to observe the work of professional anime artists, then practice on real anime boards to create characters, story line, and background.
Baker says students learn the basics then create illustrations on their own.
“They already got their own ideas they just need that vehicle to get it down on papers, and get it going,” said Baker.
The cost was $25 per student.
