Amber Alert Canceled for 4 and 8-year-old out of McDonald County
Found safe in Miami, Oklahoma
MCDONALD COUNTY, Mo. – UPDATE (July 10 @ 12:17 a.m.) Both victims located safe in Miami, Oklahoma. Suspect in custody.
An Amber Alert is issued for two McDonald County children. Authorities say they could be in danger.
Genesis Padron, 8, and Samuel Padron, 4 are missing.
They live at 67 Johnson in Southwest City, Mo. and were last seen with Hilda Melendez, 35. Authorities say she’s a non-custodial parent that assaulted the female that was watching the children and took them from the home.
UPDATE (July 9 @ 8:29 p.m.) Both suspect vehicles have been recovered. Melendez and the two children are believed to be on foot in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area.
UPDATE (July 9 @ 5:11 p.m.): The grandmother and initial suspect vehicle were found in Stroud, Oklahoma. The non-custodial mother and children were not in the vehicle. A new suspect vehicle has been added – a cream Kia Soul bearing Oklahoma license place (unknown license number).
Authorities believe they could be in route to Mexico. Recent statements made indicate the children are in danger, according to the Amber Alert.
