Alvarado, Williams pace Pitt State in exhibition against Arkansas

Athena Alvarado scored 21 points Thursday

The Pitt State women played their first of two exhibition games of the season on Thursday night against Arkansas.

Athena Alvarado led the way with 21 points and 8 rebounds. Carthage High School product Maya Williams added 17 points.

The Gorillas will be back on the floor on Sunday with another exhibition game in Lawrence against the Kansas Jayhawks.
