Altamont man dies in motorcycle crash
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Kan. – James Donald Bullock, Jr., of Altamont, Kansas dies in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash.
On September 19th, 2020, around 7:23 p.m., an off-duty Montgomery County deputy heard what he thought was a crash involving a motorcycle. He went to the scene and found a man, identified as Bullock, Jr., 52, had not survived the accident.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office says this was a single-vehicle accident and Bullock was the only rider on the motorcycle. Authorities have been notified. Sheriff Ron Wade asks for privacy for the family as they mourn the death of their loved one.
Sheriff Wade would like to commend his Deputy for responding to the scene even though he was off-duty. “There are no hours when a Deputy is truly off duty. Being a Deputy is a full-time 24 hour a day, seven day a week job, and this Deputy went above the call of duty,” Sheriff Wade said.
