Mugs for a good cause

JOPLIN, Mo. – In an effort to help those in need, Firehouse Pottery teamed up with Watered Gardens for its annual Empty Bowls fundraiser on Saturday.

Reminiscent of the soup lines from the mid 1930s, Empty Bowls is a grass roots fundraiser brought to people in cities and towns around the world by artists and craftspeople to help care for and feed the hungry in their communities.

Firehouse Pottery is selling two mugs for $25 dollars, one to keep and one to donate, or you can buy one for $15 to donate.

This is the first time this businesses is getting involved although they say it’s been a goal of theirs for a while.

Their goal is to sell 200 mugs.
