4th of July parade marches on despite COVID-19
CARL JUNCTION, Mo. – Despite initially being cancelled over COVID-19, the Annual 4th of July Parade in Carl Junction marched on Saturday morning.
Several families decided to kick off their 4th of July festivities with the parade, lining up along Main Street to watch the procession.
The event was organized by local Tera Miller, who managed to put together the plan in just three weeks, and she says the work was worth it.
“I love the kids. Seeing them get out especially with schools cancelled and sporting events cancelled, and you kinda feel the heaviness…to watch them come out and wave, and wave their flags and be dressed up…it’s just really cool,” said Miller.
Parade participants could win awards for their floats.
