4 juveniles, 3 adults charged in Monett tire slashing incidents
Officials file charges against four juveniles and three adults for tire slashing crimes that happened in late October and early November in Monett, Missouri.
Police say reports started coming in on the morning of November 1st, 2018, the day after Halloween. Between November 1st and 6th, they were investigating slashing incidents of approximately 74 vehicles and 159 tires totaling an estimated $21,939.96.
The Monett Police Department received tips and looked at surveillance video and have arrested several suspects. Officials have charged them in Barry and Lawrence Counties because the city of Monett crosses the county border.
On December 12th, 2018, authorities arrested Charles Mitchell and Dakota Mitchell, both 17 of Verona, Missouri. Officials in Barry County have charged them with first degree property damage X 3 with a bond of $15,000. Officials in Lawrence County have charged them with first degree property damage X 2 with a bond of $6,000.
Authorities arrested Timothy Gilliam, 18, of Pierce City, Missouri on December 10th, 2018. Officials have charged him with first degree property damage with a bond of $5,000 in Barry County and first degree property damage with a bond of $3,000 in Lawrence County.
Four juveniles were also identified and charged through the 39th Circuit Juvenile Office.
