2 Southwest Missouri Residents Die In I 44 Crash

JASPER COUNTY, Mo. – Two southwest Missouri residents die in a wrong-way crash on I-44.

It happened about three miles east of Fidelity, Missouri in Jasper County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a car driven by 91-year-old Neosho resident Andrew J. Wilson was going east in the westbound lane. That’s when he got into a head-on crash with a compact SUV.

Wilson and the driver of the SUV, 58-year-old Janet S. Edwards of Sarcoxie, died at the scene.
