100 Women Who Care supports local foundation

JOPLIN, Mo. – Joplin’s 100 Women Who Care chapter today donated $3,200 to the MLV Foundation.

Officials say the funds from the donation will be used to provide needed transportation to their events for their clients.

“Transportation is a huge issue for the blind and visually impaired who are a very isolated group, said Debbie Sanders. “These people have to rely on others to get them around to places and to all the different events and stuff that we host and produce.”

100 women who care is an international organization of women who gather four times a year for a one-hour meeting to learn about local charities and make a donation.
