Who says lightning doesn’t strike twice? A Casey’s General Store in Joplin has sold its second Powerball ticket worth $1 million. The latest ticket, which matched all five white-ball numbers drawn in the June 18 drawing, was purchased at the Casey’s located at 4800 S. Rangeline Road. The lucky number combination was: 2, 23, 41, 53 and 63.

The win marks the 41st time a Missouri Lottery Powerball player has won a $1 million Match 5 prize, including Terri Bullard of Joplin, who won $1 million on a ticket purchased at the same Casey’s location in November 2012.

“If you’re holding the winning ticket from Saturday, please sign the back of it immediately,” said May Scheve Reardon, executive director for the Missouri Lottery. “Then keep it in a safe place until you are ready to claim your prize at one of our Lottery offices.”

Draw Game winners, including those who play Powerball, have exactly 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize. In this case, the winner has until Dec. 15. Prizes can be claimed at any of the Lottery’s four offices, which are located in Springfield, Jefferson City, St. Louis, and Kansas City.
This Wednesday’s Powerball jackpot is estimated at $184 million.
